There is something for everyone at the Georgia Festival of Trees! Here are a few of the fun, festive opportunities you can choose from when you join our volunteer team.

INVOLVED
At the Georgia Festival of Trees, there is a volunteer opportunity to spark everyone’s inner Christmas Elf!
This special experience is fun for all ages and includes a forest of fully-decorated Christmas trees, children’s activities, live entertainment, boutique gift shops, sugar cookie decorating, a Christmas Gingerbread competition…and so much more!
Christmas Brick Challenge
Everything is awesome at the Georgia Festival of Trees, and we want you to make it even more awesome! Help us put on our 1st Annual Christmas Brick Challenge! We have a wonderful competition heating up where brick (LEGO, Megablok, DUPLO, Mega Construx, and more) enthusiasts create a winter or holiday scene to enter our competition. We will also have a delightful brick play area where kids and adults can play and build. If you love to build with interlocking bricks, this is the place for you!
Auction
The Georgia Festival of Trees is all about beautiful trees and dazzling holiday décor. This year the festival will have nearly 400 auction items, including the exciting addition of a Christmas gingerbread competition! Our auction volunteers will help us create a beautiful visual experience, provide fabulous support to our auction donors, and make the auction the highlight of the holiday season!
Setup Crew
The trucks are here and it’s time to unload. With all hands on deck, we will be done in no time. Help move important equipment and fixtures to areas throughout the venue. Set up tables, shelving, and other large items. Deliver goods and organize the holding area.
Guest Services
Ensure our guests have a great experience at the festival. Rectify issues quickly with a positive outcome. Work with other departments to ensure guests’ needs are met. Answer business line during festival hours, assist with online chatting tool to answer questions directed from the website and social media platforms.
Gift Shop Support
Spoil our guests with a holiday boutique shopping experience. We need to keep the shelves full and the cash registers humming! Join us for a pleasant day in the Mistletoe Mall or Elf Emporium.
Tear Down Crew
The fun is over and it’s time to pack it up! With all hands on deck, we can finish the task in no time. Assist with taking down fixtures and equipment and preparing it for loading. This will include some heavy lifting and palleting of boxes and other items.
Office Support
Our busy on-site business office needs support with office tasks related to various departments throughout the festival. Help our auction, finance, guest services, retail, and others to ensure a seamless workflow. If you want to be in the middle of the festival action, the office is the place for you!
Decorating
Lights, ornaments, action! Turn our 105,000 sq ft space into a magical holiday wonderland! Assist with decorating key areas within the venue to create photo spots, points of interest, and a festive holiday vibe!
Santa's Sleigh with Photos
Santa is coming to town and you will find him at the Festival of Trees! Help families get beautiful pictures with Santa at his beautiful sleigh.
Entertainment
Treat our local entertainers to a pleasant festival experience as you help them check-in, prepare for their performance, and report to the stage at their appointed time.
Elf Training Academy Obstacle Course
It takes fit, agile, highly trained elves to support the big man at the North Pole! Supervise our elf trainees as they battle their way through our epic training obstacle course.
Santa's Workshop
Children need the chance to shop for their parents, siblings, and friends and Santa’s Workshop is their shopping spot! Help children select gifts for the important people in their lives. Help them create a handmade gift that parent’s will treasure for years to come!
Sugar Cookie Decorating
Sugar cookie decorating was the #1 most requested activity last year. Help us bring this much loved experience to the festival. Assist children as they create a beautiful cookie from a pre-packaged cookie kit.
Reindeer Games (Children's Activities)
Enjoy creating simple crafts and playing fun games with our pint-sized guests! This area also includes our epic giant bubble machine, our new Elfphones that dial-up an elf at the North Pole, and Santa’s Post Office where kids can post a letter to the big man himself! This opportunity is full of fun!
