Set-up/Decorating Team
Join our Set-Up & Decorating Team and help transform an empty convention center into one of Georgia's favorite holiday traditions. Whether you're fluffing trees, hanging garland, or creating beautiful displays, your creativity and teamwork will help bring the magic to life for thousands of families.
Festival Team
As a volunteer at the Georgia Festival of Trees, you’ll help create a joyful, magical experience for every guest. Whether you’re greeting families, assisting with ticketing, helping with Santa and Pink Pig photo ops, or guiding kids through Reindeer Games and crafts, your festive spirit will light up the event. Every moment you give supports our mission to make magical holiday memories while making a difference in our community! Volunteer roles are assigned first-come first serve at Volunteer Check-in.
Tear Down Team
When the festival comes to a close, our Tear-Down Team helps pack up the memories until next year. From merchandise and displays to fixtures and equipment, every helping hand makes the process faster and smoother. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves, expect some lifting, teamwork, and a little Tetris-style packing as we load everything for the journey home.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Your volunteer experience begins with a great start!
Arrive 30 minutes early.
Your shift time means ready at your post.
Check in first.
Get your shirt, name tag, and assignment.
Check out before leaving.
Complete check-out and record your hours.
Before You Leave Home
- Confirm your shift and plan your route. If you need to cancel or change your shift, please contact us at 678-783-4455.
- Bring your phone, a debit or credit card (cashless venue), and a refillable water bottle, if desired.
- Leave valuables and weapons at home. Three is is no storage available.
- Remember, volunteers must be 16 years old.
Arrival & Check-in
- Park in Deck 1, exit on level three and cross the circle drive to enter the Convention Center.
- Convention Center Concierge will direct you to volunteer check-in located on the main level outside the Peachtree Meeting Room.
- Check in 30 minutes early to get your t-shirt, apron, and festival assignment.
- Volunteer roles are assigned by arrival order, priority, and the Festival’s greatest need. Please let our volunteer leaders know if you need any accommodations.
What to Wear and Bring
- Wear dark pants, a skirt, or black jeans. Shorts must be mid-thigh or longer.
- Your 2026 Festival t-shirt is required. you will receive it at check-in and should allow time to change.
- Wear supportive shoes. You may be standing or walking most of your 4.5 hour shift. If you are working multiple days, it is helpful to alternate shoes each day.
- Keep personal items with you in a small belt bag or crossbody bag.
During Your Shift
- Stay at your assigned post. Arrange coverage and tell your supervisor before stepping away.
- Keep your phone non vibrate and limit personal use. Step away and notify your supervisor for an urgent call.
- Use family-friendly language and treat every guest, volunteer, and partners with kindness and respect.
- For questions, concerns, lost children or emergencies, contact your supervisor or a leader wearing a Festival lanyard.
Parking and Food
- Volunteer parking is $10 in Deck 1. Gas South District is a cashless venue, so bring a credit or debit card for any on-site purchases.
- Outside food is not permitted. Food may be purchased on-site. Volunteers working two consecutive shifts on the same day will receive a voucher for a meal in the Gas South Convention Center Food Court.
Before You Head Home
- Return to Volunteer Check-Out at the end of your shift.
- Request service-hours verification, if needed.
- Registered volunteers, receive one complimentary general admission ticket by emailed redemption link. If you have not received your ticket link by November 20th, please email us at [email protected].
